NICO Pension Services Limited, NICO Life Insurance Company Limited and NICO Asset Managers Limited, under One NICO, have reaffirmed their continued partnership with Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA), marking the 3rd time the institutions are supporting GAIA’s cervical cancer initiative aimed at improving women’s health outcomes in Malawi.

The engagement was represented by NICO Pension Financial Advisory Manager, Lumbani Nyirenda, together with NICO Life Clients Services Manager, Tikhala Chilimba, and NICO Asset Managers Head of Operations, David Pankomera.

Speaking on behalf of the NICO Group, Lumbani Nyirenda reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to supporting impactful health initiatives, noting that cervical cancer remains a critical health challenge requiring sustained partnership.

GAIA Country Director, Joyce Jere, expressed appreciation for NICO’s continued support, saying the partnership is strengthening cervical cancer awareness, screening and early detection. She added that NICO Group will be invited to Nsanje next month for ongoing support In Nsanje where many patients cannot afford treatment.

GAIA’s programme in Nsanje focuses on cervical cancer screening and early detection, with over 4,000 cases estimated annually and more than 2,000 deaths due to limited access to services. Only about 20% of women have access to screening, highlighting the need for expanded support.
