NICO Life on the 7th February 2020 held Sales Consultants Excellence Awards given to the best agents from Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu offices. 13 sales consultants were awarded, and these included the best new agent, best in selling the Tilinanu product, best sales consultants (Highest Overall), best annual premium sold, CEO’s Award Highest sold across the country, CEO’s Award highest premium 2019, and Team leader of the year.
The Sales Manager Kennedy Thondolo in his remarks at the annual ceremony said that 2019 was a tough year especially with the election period and that the economy was affected by the aftermath of it. Regardless the sales consultants were able to attain their targets and ended the year on a positive note.
The event was graced by the NICO Group Managing director Mr. Vizenge Kumwenda and he stressed that these excellence awards are consistent with NICO Holdings strive to drive a high-performance culture. He thanked the sales consultants for exceeding their targets. “These excellence awards are contributing to the focus NICO Holdings want to have on its human capital focusing on people”, he said. He concluded by congratulating the sales consultants and informing them to work harder and stay on top.
NICO Life’s CEO Mr. Eric Chapola in his remarks congratulated the sales consultants for their great performance in 2019. He reminded sales consultants to take stock of 2019 achievements and encouraged those that didn’t do well to do better this year. He encouraged the consultants to “reflect on the 2020 budget and exceed the set targets as based on the sales consultant’s performance of 2019, there is always room for improvement and there is no excuse for failure”. The CEO highlighted that the company’s executive will always support the team with everything needed to get the job done well. He concluded by congratulating all those that got awards and stressed that 2020 will not be easier and the team must work harder to achieve their targets.
